Lecturer in Mathematics

The NYU Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences seeks to fill a Lecturer position in mathematics. The primary responsibilities will be:

  • teaching and coordinating entry level courses through multivariable calculus and linear algebra.
  • training and evaluating new instructors and teaching assistants
  • curriculum development and assessment
  • other responsibilities related to the undergraduate program


Applicants must have a strong background in advanced Mathematics, including a Masters degree in Mathematics (Ph.D. preferred) or a math-related field, as well as experience in and knowledge about undergraduate teaching, learning, and curricular issues.

This Lecturer position will not be a tenure track position but may be renewed annually. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
