Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have an established background in membrane biology? Do you want to further your career in one of the UKs leading research intensive Universities?
Our school aims to combine fundamental and translational strategies to drive advances in biomedical research to manage human disease. Our Integrative Membrane Biology research team is looking for a specialist working on the biology and biophysics of cell membranes. You would link with our team that has a wealth of expertise understanding the structure and function of membrane proteins and how this information might be applied for early-stage drug development. The post is ideally suited to individuals with expertise in the biological or biophysical properties of natural and synthetic membrane systems and their application to transporters, channels and receptors. The Integrative Membrane Biology team is well integrated with our Neuroscience team looking at molecular factors underpinning pathologies such as neurodegeneration or psychiatric disease. This pivotal post will link these teams to foster the development of treatments for neurological disorders and translate discovery neuroscience for future health outcomes.
