Principal Duties

Candidates are sought who have demonstrated success as a performing artist, teacher of dance, or certification in dance/movement therapy. Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching dance history
  • Modern dance classes (all levels)
  • Improvisation
  • Composition
  • Cultural dance
  • Methodology in dance education (undergraduate and graduate)

Required Qualifications

  • MA, MFA, or PhD in dance or a dance-related field
  • Five years of relevant experience
  • Prior college teaching experience is a plus
