The Department of Philosophy at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for part-time Lecturer positions. Part-time Lecturers will teach undergraduate courses in Philosophy. A Master’s degree in a related field is required. Candidates with Ph.D. degrees in the discipline may also be assigned to teach upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses. In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity. The start date for fall 2020 positions is August 2020. The start date for spring 2021 positions is January 2021. These are one semester, non-tenure track appointments with the possibility of reappointment. Part-time Lecturers normally teach one to two courses per semester.
