Applicants must have a demonstrated passion for teaching, mentorship of students, and the skills to engage and enrich our diverse student body. We are looking for skilled and creative colleagues who bring fresh perspectives to the practice and the capacity to support the integration of class and field curricula. Our School’s social justice mission leads us to invest in recruiting colleagues who in their practice and teaching demonstrate significant experience with, understanding of, and cultural humility in working with diverse populations.

Lecturers part time at the UW SSW are faculty members with a focus on teaching. These appointments will be either <50%, in which case they will teach 1-2 courses per academic year (up to 8 credits) or >=50%, in which case they will teach approximately 3 courses (9-12 credits) per academic year and participate in student advising. Lecturers Part Time teach in either the BASW Program or in the MSW Program, with courses scheduled either during the Day, Evening, or all day Saturday. They are expected to participate in collaborative course development and planning, as needed. Experienced Lecturers may be involved supporting the mentorship of new part-time lecturers and doctoral student instructors.
