The Department of Literature at UC San Diego invites applications for a language lecturer with experience in teaching Spanish language courses. Applicants will be expected to teach second year content-based courses from our curriculum, may be including our classes for heritage speakers. Applicants will be expected to teach some of these classes per quarter.
The candidate would be working closely with the Spanish Language Coordinator and Spanish section head in creating and updating syllabi for each of the classes, creating exams, quizzes and other methodological instruments of evaluation, and promoting the study of Spanish on campus.
Salary and level of appointment are based on qualifications and UC pay scale.
Authorization to work in the US must be provided at the start of the appointment (Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1985).
