Overview:

We invite applications for a fixed term (24 month) Lectureship in British Politics/Public Policy from January 2021.

About the Role

The postholder will contribute to the intellectual life of the School, Faculty and University and the wider research field of Politics/International Relations. The person appointed will teach and convene modules in British Politics and Public Policy at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, offer research supervision and contribute more broadly to teaching and research within the School. The postholder will also be expected to contribute to the running of the Mile End Institute.

About You

You should have a PhD in Politics or a related discipline and the ability to deliver teaching and assessment in British Politics and Public Policy to undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will have a developing reputation for internationally excellent research and a record of high quality publications. We particularly welcome applicants with a research focus on British Politics and/or Public Policy.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time, fixed term appointment for 24 months as a result of absence cover, with an expected start date of January 1st 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £42,433 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
