Specific Purpose Whole-Time Posts
(Anticipated duration of 3 years)

UCC wishes to appoint two experienced academics to the roles of Lecturers in Digital Humanities, reporting to the Head of the Department of Digital Humanities.

These are posts with a full teaching schedule in our Masters Programmes – specifically the online MA in Digital Cultures. The persons appointed will hold a doctoral qualification, have research experience leading to publication, and sectoral experience. They should have demonstrated potential to collaborate in and contribute to one of the following areas of research interest: Digital Cultures, Digital Creation, Digital Curation, Digital Narratives, Digital Arts and Humanities, Digital Cultural Heritage, Research Data, and Digital Project Management, and be eager to teach all aspects of the Digital Humanities.
Our teaching is student-centred, research-based, blended and ‘flipped’, and particularly for these roles, online. Applicants must demonstrate:

• a proven track record in delivering innovative teaching and learning experiences in Digital Humanities across the breadth of the Digital Humanities discipline;
• experience of creation, design and delivery of Digital Humanities projects;
• experience of online teaching.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer Below the Bar Salary Scale: €35,248- €61,984 (Scale B)/ €37,158 - €58,981 (Scale A). Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
