Permanent Whole-time Post

UCC wishes to appoint a permanent whole-time Lecturer in Nursing specifically in the area of Children’s Nursing. The successful appointee will hold a professional nursing qualification and hold registration (or be eligible to register) in the children’s nursing division of the register held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board Ireland. Applicants will be expected to have an academic qualification to Masters (or be near completion) and will be expected to commence a PhD within 18 months of taking up appointment (if not already undertaking PhD or hold a PhD qualification). The appointee will be expected to contribute to teaching, assessment and programme development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as undertake research relevant to the School’s research programmes. Experience in teaching is essential; project management/leadership and innovation relevant to lecturer position are also required. The appointee will be expected to contribute to the administration of the School including its strategic development.

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale: €34,748 - €61,370 / €67,073 – €86,241 (Scale B) Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
