The Cambridge BHF Centre of Research Excellence brings together a wide range of cardiovascular research groups across the University of Cambridge and affiliated institutions including the Wellcome Sanger Institute. We are now inviting applications for non-clinical intermediate-level transition fellowships. These 4-year fellowships are available for outstanding postdoctoral researchers in basic biomedical science or disciplines outside traditional biological science working at the interfaces of disciplines ¿ particularly where adoption of techniques outside cardiovascular science can accelerate basic and translational research.

The award will include full salary and £20K per year towards other costs. Individuals will be supported to apply for additional funding and become competitive for external Senior Research Fellowships by the end of their fellowship. Technical support may also be available if justified in the application.

Successful applicants will have an outstanding record of research and its communication in a relevant subject. The post holders will need to be able to work independently as well as in active collaboration with multi-disciplinary partners.
