PhD student (m/f/d) in bioinformatics (TV-L E13, 66%, four years)

Department of Bioinformatics at the TUM School of Life Sciences is seeking a PhD student. The candidate will develop computational tools and analyze genomics, proteomics, and transcriptomics data. You will join an interdisciplinary team of life scientists and bioinformaticians who use the latest proteomic approaches and equipment to better understand plant biology. Your qualifications: - A master degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, computer science, or biology - Good knowledge of bioinformatics and biology - Familiarity with OMICS data analysis - Familiarity with machine learning and statistics - Strong programming skills (python, R) - Comfortable with the Linux/Unix environment, databases (MySQL) Our offer: Salary is in accordance with the German public service salary scale: TVL E13 66% for 48 months.
