The McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin seeks outstanding applicants for a tenured appointment at the Associate or Full Professor rank. Candidates are sought with demonstrated excellence in research in any field of Chemical Engineering and a strong interest in teaching, mentoring students, and collaborating.

While the highest priority is given to the overall originality, track record, and continued promise of the candidate's work, particular areas of interest include Materials and Energy.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a related discipline is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor graduate students and teach diverse undergraduate and graduate student populations.

  • Sustained record of a vibrant, externally sponsored research program.

  • Ability to collaborate with faculty from a wide range of backgrounds.

  • Commitment to service to the university and the profession.
