The Center for Economic Psychology at the Department of Psychology of the University of Basel, Switzerland, calls for applications for a 4-year doctoral position starting at the 1st of September 2022.
Your position
Successful candidates will have the opportunity of working towards their Ph.D. in psychology within projects that investigate the cognitive mechanisms underlying financial decisions. The position allows focusing on conducting research and the doctoral thesis, which will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Jörg Rieskamp. Applicants will be part of an international work group and an English-speaking environment. Furthermore, they will be part of the graduate program in Social, Economic and Decision Psychology within the Department of Psychology.
Your profile
The ideal candidate would have a M.Sc. in psychology, cognitive science, economics, finance or a related field, strong interest in cognitive psychology and research methods, and a willingness in applying these skills to understand human decision making. Experience with mathematical modeling and programming is desirable.
