Position Overview

The Rutgers School of Engineering at New Brunswick invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), with anticipated start in Fall 2026. Multiple openings exist across the department, for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks.

Candidates are sought in the following research areas:

  1. RF/Antenna Systems and Wireless Sensors

  2. Security, with emphasis on information security and AI/machine learning security

  3. AI for Domain Applications, including next-generation networking, healthcare, and embodied AI

  4. Quantum Communication and Sensing

Successful candidates are expected to:

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in electrical and computer engineering

  • Develop an independent research program and secure external funding

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in ECE

  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations and large-scale research projects


Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field

  • Strong record of research productivity and scholarly publications

  • Ability to conduct independent research

Senior candidates: Proven track record of impactful publications and external funding is expected
