DUTIES

Thompson Rivers University, School of Nursing, requires creative committed educators to join a dynamic faculty focused on preparing nurses for diverse practice settings.  The Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) program has a sessional faculty position in the MN-NP program teaching NURS 5330: Advanced Pharmacotherapeutics for the fall 2023 semester (Sep 5 - Dec 15, 2023).

 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD or other doctorate; consideration may be given to doctoral candidates who will complete their degree by the appointment date or shortly thereafter;
  • Master’s NP degree with current practice and teaching experience may be considered;
  • Current NP registration in a Canadian jurisdiction in good standing without limits or conditions, and/or eligibility for registration with BCCNM;
  • Experience in nursing education;
  • Experience using teaching and learning technologies;
  • Experience using a learning management system;
  • Experience preparing evaluative tools and grading;
  • Experience teaching and/or developing pharmacotherapies content would be an asset;
  • Three (3) years or equivalent hours of clinical practice experience;    
  • Exemplary communication skills (written, oral and electronic);
  • An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system.
