Conceptual PlayLab PhD Scholarship for Research in Early Childhood Education

Remuneration: $28,000 p.a. pro rata tax exempt stipend

The Opportunity

Do you have a passion for Early Childhood Education? Do you want to make a contribution to knowledge through research?

The Conceptual PlayLab PhD Scholarship is offered for full-time research at postgraduate level in the Faculty of Education at Monash University. The award is available to an applicant to undertake a PhD under the supervision of Laureate Professor Marilyn Fleer as a part of her government-funded research project in Early Childhood SET (Science, Engineering and Technology) Education.

The awardee will be determined by a panel in a merit-based selection process, and will complete their PhD under supervision of a minimum of two academic supervisors, including Professor Fleer, from the Faculty of Education at Monash.

Candidate Requirements

To be eligible you must:

  • be a domestic candidate
  • have the necessary qualifications, such as a research masters or honours year to meet the selection requirements into the doctoral program (see Monash Education PhD entry requirements)
  • be enrolling full time and on campus
  • not already hold a PhD
    The successful applicant will be expected to enrol by 30th June 2021, but there may be some flexibility regarding the date of commencement.
