The Chair of Engineering Geodesy is part of TUM School of Engineering and Design and Department of Aerospace and Geodesy. The Chair’s research focus lies in the developments of advanced methodologies for the geodetic monitoring of infrastructural, industrial and environmental objects, the automation of static and mobile laser scanning, the quality analysis of geodetic sensors and interdisciplinary tasks in the context of digitizing the reality. Your tasks:
As doctoral student, you will occupy a research area that either deals
As Post-Doc, you will additionally get the possibility to fill in a leadership position for the geodetic laboratory and for other employees of the Chair and you will get the chance to establish new research fields by your own. In any case, you will participate in teaching activities of the Chair in English and/or German language.
Your qualifications:
As doctoral student, you have a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Geodesy, Geoinformatics, Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry or similar with background in one of the above-mentioned research areas. As Post-Doc, you are additionally qualified by a relevant doctorate. Further, you are interested in independently exploring scientific questions and in working in an interdisciplinary and international team. You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and/or German.
We offer:
For a doctoral student, we offer a full-time position as research assistant with the option of doing a doctorate. The position is initially limited to three years. The employment takes place with the appropriate remuneration according to the collective agreement for the civil service of the countries (TV-L 13). For a Post-Doc, there is principally a possibility to aim at a conversion to a tenured position as academic advice for lifetime (Akademischer Rat auf Lebenszeit) after a test phase.
