Post-Doc (f/m/d) with focus on fungal research

The position will be for 3 years with extension possible and should be filled as soon as possible or to the 1st of April 2021. The salary is in accordance with the German public service salary scale (TV-L E13) with 100 %, which corresponds to 39.8 working hours per week.

We are searching for a person with a strong scientific background in mycology, molecular biology and microbiology, with an interest in fungi and motivation to contribute to shaping and developing the research fields of the division. Main research of the group is in the fields of fruiting body formation in basidiomycetes, wood decay and in biotechnology of fungal enzymes.

Tasks: Participation in research on fungi in a self-organized manner. The possibility for developing an own research area is given. The successful candidate is expected to diversity specific teach in the fields of wood biotechnology, forest botany, molecular biology and/or mycology.

Qualifications: A completed university study in biology, biochemistry, forestry, agriculture or related fields. A PhD and experience in molecular biology/genetics of fungi, mycology, enzymology and/or genome analyses are of advantage.
