Summary of Duties

The Department of Preventive Medicine seeks an experienced and motivated Post Doctoral Scholar to work in the Habing Lab at The Ohio State University. The successful candidate will be expected to use a combination of traditional and molecular epidemiological techniques to address complex and overlapping problems in livestock production systems, including antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic disease transmission, and animal welfare. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to related teaching activities in the veterinary and graduate student curriculum.

The successful candidate will have strong quantitative skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and previous laboratory experience, and documented research productivity. The candidate must be flexible and willing to pursue a mixture of teaching, on-farm activities, and laboratory work on a day to day basis. This is a 2-year position and will begin as early as the summer semester of 2020.
