Postdoctoral Associate in Energetics and Breast Cancer Survival Research

The Department of Epidemiology ( at the University of Florida invites applications for a research Postdoctoral Associate position, available immediately, in the area of energetics and breast cancer survival.  The Postdoctoral Associate will work with a multidisciplinary team of investigators on an NIH-funded project that focuses on integrated analyses of epidemiologic and tumor biomarker data to understand mechanisms related to energy imbalance (including obesity, body fatness, and physical inactivity) and breast cancer and identify therapeutic approaches for breast cancer patients. The successful candidate will work on large prospective cohort data and assist in managing laboratory analyses, including immunohistochemistry and high-plex, spatially resolved protein expression data. Expectations include performing statistical analysis, writing articles for publications, presenting findings in conferences, and submitting extramural funding proposals.

All candidates should have strong training and interest in Cancer Epidemiology, be highly motivated to conduct scientific research, be able to work independently in team-oriented projects, and are consistent, responsible and accurate for scientific research.
