Position Description

  • Actively work on the preparation of a PhD thesis in 4D Tomographic Image Reconstruction.

  • Research focus: develop novel 4D image reconstruction methods for X-ray imaging of dynamic objects.

  • Integrate physics models, CAD information, and region-based prior knowledge to estimate deformation parameters and enhance image quality in 4D CT.

  • Disseminate findings through high-impact publications and presentations at national and international conferences.

  • Participate in training activities and research secondments with MSCA partner institutions across Europe.


Profile

  • Master’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related studies (or obtained by start date).

  • Excellent academic results.

  • Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++).

  • Eligible under general MSCA criteria: must not have resided or carried out main activity in Belgium for more than 12 months in the last 36 months before recruitment.

  • Strong communication skills in English.
