Salary: $72,000 – $77,500/year (based on years post-PhD)
The Oyler-Yaniv Lab focuses on how cytokines contribute to the self-organization of immune cell niches. The lab integrates experimental and systems biology approaches to understand immune regulation in health and disease.
The postdoctoral fellow will develop an independent research project within the lab’s scope while collaborating with senior scientists. Responsibilities include experimental work, grant writing, manuscript preparation, protocol development, mentoring, and contributing to lab operations.
Develop and execute independent research projects within the lab focus
Conduct experiments using mouse models of immune activation, autoimmunity/allergy, or infection
Perform immune cell isolation, in vitro culture, and standard immunological assays (ELISA, cell activation/killing)
Utilize flow cytometry and/or microscopy
Apply for fellowship funding and contribute to grant/manuscript writing
Maintain lab protocols and ensure rigorous data quality and record-keeping
Mentor and teach lab members
Contribute to a collaborative and positive lab environment
PhD or MD/PhD in immunology, virology, microbiology, systems biology, biophysics, or related fields
Experience with mouse models of immune activation, autoimmunity/allergy, or infection
Flow cytometry and/or microscopy experience
Experience in immune cell isolation and in vitro culture
Strong communication and collaboration skills; aligned with lab core values
Experience with standard in vitro immunological assays (ELISA, cell killing/activation)
Open-minded and eager to learn new techniques and model systems
