Located in downtown Toronto, the largest and most culturally diverse city in Canada and on the territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee and the Wendat Peoples, the Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Science at (formerly Ryerson University) invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, effective July 1, 2025, subject to final budgetary approval. Hiring at the Associate level will normally require already having achieved tenure elsewhere.

Successful candidates will engage in a combination of teaching, research and service duties, maintaining an inclusive, equitable, and collegial work environment across all activities. Responsibilities will include: pursuing an innovative and independent research program that is externally funded and generates cutting-edge, high quality research; contributing to our undergraduate and graduate programs through teaching, mentoring and supervision of students; contributing to the development of curricula and course design in our graduate and undergraduate programs; and engaging in the life of the Department, Faculty and University through service activities.
Successful candidates shall hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field, by the date of appointment. Candidates who are all-but-dissertation [ABD] and very close to completion and have an established publication record may also be considered.
