This is a great opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work at the University of Queensland (UQ) Industry 4.0 Energy TestLab facility, in conjunction with the UQ Renewable Energy Laboratory.
As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in energy management, you will work with Siemens Navigator/open-source energy management tool and build the Energy TestLab as the training and visitor facility of a ‘Digital Twin’. This will mimic a real-time live control room environment to show the dispatch of energy, UQ’s solar plants' data from multiple campuses, and data from UQ’s Building Management Systems (BMS) for energy management.
You will have strong engagement with industry partners, particularly small and medium Enterprises (SMEs) through consultancies, testing services, and research partnerships. Our international relationships include Princeton University in the USA, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur in India, the University of Manchester in the UK, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and Hunan University in China.

This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 2 years at Academic level A. The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $74,308 - $99,426, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $86,941 - $116,329 annually.

Completion or near completion of a PhD in the discipline area.
An emerging profile in research in the discipline area.
Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities.
Experience in Energy Management in Power Systems would be highly regarded.
