KTH is seeking postdoctoral fellows to contribute to projects related to thermohydraulics and safety of small modular reactors (SMRs). The work includes analysis supporting the design and development of large-scale experimental facilities to be constructed and operated at KTH and Oskarshamn. Facilities will address important thermohydraulic phenomena relevant to both water and liquid lead-cooled SMRs.
The position is part of national projects supported by the Swedish Energy Agency and has strong links with collaborative projects across Europe.
Requirements:
Doctoral degree or equivalent foreign degree (to be completed no later than the employment decision).
Doctoral degree in nuclear engineering, experimental and analytical thermohydraulics, or fluid mechanics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral degree obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.
Knowledge and experience in experimental and analytical investigation of thermohydraulic phenomena relevant to the safety of water and lead-cooled nuclear reactors.
Good communication and collaborative skills, ability to work independently and in a team.
Motivation and dedication to research work.
Teaching experience is an advantage.
