Postdoctoral Positions in Nanomechanical Quantum Sensors

University of Copenhagen Niels Bohr Institute

Postdoctoral positions on Nanomechanical Quantum Sensors at the Niels Bohr Institute

At the Niels Bohr Institute at University of Copenhagen we currently have a postdoctoral position on the development of optomechanical systems for memory and sensing applications.

The Quantum Optomechanics group at the Niels Bohr Institute has pioneered a new approach to engineer mechanical systems of unprecedented coherence. We now seek support to push the development of a new generation of quantum optomechanical systems that can serve as quantum memory and/or are operated at room temperature.

The postdoc will develop and implement new optomechanical systems and experiments. Successful candidates will have a strong PhD in experimental physics or relevant engineering disciplines, and extensive experience in experimental quantum optomechanics. Experience with fiber cavities, membrane-in-the middle systems, and quantum measurement theory complete the profile of the ideal candidate.
