About the Role

Dr. Benjamin Werner from the Barts Cancer Institute in London is searching for a Post Doc candidate to join his team at Queen Mary University in London to work on the theoretical understanding of somatic evolutionary processes.

About You

You will be a highly motivated candidate, will work analytically and computationally on the problems of somatic evolution in healthy and cancerous tissues with a special focus on: problems of within tissue genetic heterogeneity, measurement problems in evolutionary inferences and possible limits on evolutionary measures in tissues as well as analytical work on extra-chromosomal DNA evolution in solid tumours. You should have extensive experience in mathematical modelling of biological systems, ideally of somatic evolutionary processes. I am searching for a candidate with an explicit quantitative training in either physics of mathematics. In addition, you should have a publication record appropriate for your current career stage, have experience presenting at international conferences and experienced collaborating in multidisciplinary teams and/or environments.
