Senior Research Assistant/Post- doctoral Research Associate

We offer this Senior Research Assistant/Post- doctoral Research Associate to work on a new re-search project investigating efficacy in functional muscle transfer with accent on decellurised nerve grafts and to support a current on-going projects on nerve regeneration. The role will in-volve in obtaining, organizing and cleaning data, analysing data using statistical software, present-ing results, and writing documentations and reports. The work will be performed in close collab-oration with the team of the research group affiliated with the Cardiovascular Research (Prof. Dr. Robert Rieben), internal and external research collaborators.

The ideal candidate for this project should have experience in:

• Experience in a specialized research field
• Work towards achieving group leader status
• Apply for scientific grants and develop a parallel line of research that will compliment ex-isting goals

Tasks & Resposibilities:
 
• To assist with the establishment of the new project and refine the various scientific processes required..
• To complete the relevant courses and help with the monitoring of the experimental an-imals
• Enlargement of professional network: create collaboration and contacts, by writing collaborative grants applications, and by participating to national and international conferences.
• Responsibility for designing and implementing own research projects or programs, independently or in collaboration with lab head.
• Obtain personal funding and publications as principal investigator to establish full inde-pendence
Candidates applying for this position should have following qualifications:
• PhD in nerve regeneration and/or related field.
• Looking for a position as post doctoral scientific leader setting up with support a nerve regeneration group
• Good knowledge in organization and preparation of accurate research data
• Personnel management skills
• Motivated, independent and reliable
• strong organizational & communication skills
• Excellent working English skills (spoken and written)
