About This Opportunity

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Research Fellow will be a key member of a new project to research and develop frameworks for specifying and verifying concurrent systems, with a particular focus on concurrent data structures running on hardware with weak memory. The project is in collaboration with the Australian Government Defence Science and Technology Group (DST) and the School of Computing at the Australian National University (ANU). The fellow will be responsible for innovating verification approaches for concurrent systems, including tool support, such as Isabelle/HOL.

Our Ideal Candidate

To be successful in the Postdoctoral Research Fellow role, you need to hold or be near completion of a PhD in the discipline area (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related discipline). You need to have expertise in formal methods of software development and proof engineering using a theorem prover such as Isabelle/HOL. In addition, experience with theories of concurrent programming is also required.

You are required to demonstrate evidence of publications in reputed referred journals and presenting at conferences. It is also essential to have experience with supervision of undergraduate (Honours) project.

The successful candidate must obtain and maintain Australian security clearance at Baseline level or higher.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term position up to 2 years at Research Academic Level A/ B.

The full-time equivalent base salary for Level A will be in the range $70,729 - $94,637, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $82,753 - $110,726.

The full-time equivalent base salary for Level B will be in the range $99,542 - $118,206, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $116,465 - $138,301.
