Job assignments

This position is funded through the project Reconfigurations of Educational In/Equality in a Digital World (RED). The project, which is funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, is an international collaboration between researchers at the University of Gothenburg, Georg-Eckert Institut in Germany, The University of South Africa, Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico, and Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales in Argentina. It investigates the overarching research question: How is schooling being reconfigured through digital technology in different regions of the world and in what ways are these changes reproducing, exacerbating or alleviating in/equality? This is examined in Sweden, Germany, South Africa, Botswana, Mexico, and Argentina with a focus on understanding the political goals, institutional structures, and socio-technical arrangements in different contexts, and on critically reflecting on how these are related to in/equality.

The successful applicant will work to examine both policy and practices that are relevant for the digitalization of schooling in Sweden guided by the core research questions of the RED project. This work will involve documentary analysis, interview and ethnographic fieldwork.
