Position description

Applications are sought for a full-time Postdoctoral position. The successful candidate will work on a collaborative and interdisciplinary project in the laboratories of Dr. Alicia Izquierdo and Dr. Andrew Wikenheiser in the UCLA Department of Psychology ([https://izquierdolab.psych.ucla.edu] and [https://wikenheiserlab.psych.ucla.edu/ ]).

The collaborative project involves probing frontal cortex and hippocampus in flexible learning, incorporating in vivo electrophysiological recording and novel behavioral, chemogenetic, and computational methods in freely-behaving rats.

A successful candidate(s) will have the following qualifications:

• PhD in Neuroscience or Psychology
• Ability to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
• Desire to conduct cutting-edge behavioral neuroscience research
• Experience in in vivo electrophysiological recording is required
• Experience in computational modeling is highly desirable, but not required

Start date is flexible. The position is fully funded for two years, and may be extended depending on satisfactory progress and the availability of funding.
