The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of California, Irvine invites applicants for a Postdoctoral Scholar position to join Dr. Han Li's laboratory of Metabolic Engineering and Synthetic Biology. Candidates with the following expertise are welcome to apply: genetically engineering of microbes, protein purification, enzymatic assays, computational protein design, structure- and bioinformatics-guided protein engineering, directed evolution. Good organization, communication, and ability to work in a team setting are essential qualities. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
The initial appointment will be for a one-year period, with the possibility of an extension depending on performance and availability of funding.
