The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences is the largest faculty at Monash with ten Schools and Institutes and activity which spans more than 15 sites in metropolitan Melbourne and rural and regional locations, including our health service precincts embedding us within our strong network of health service partners. Four of the Faculty’s largest schools are located within hospital precincts at Monash Health, Alfred Health and Eastern Health.

The School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health is the largest medical clinical school of Monash University. Within the school, sits the clinical Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The department provides clinical teaching in the undergraduate medical student curriculum across multiple sites and also delivers undergraduate teaching to students.

This conjoint appointment between Monash University and Monash Health offers an academic clinician the opportunity to join one of our Faculty’s largest departments to deliver innovative teaching and research outcomes. As a Professor, you will also have the opportunity to lead a dynamic research group in the area of gynaecology or obstetrics to deliver the best health outcomes for all women in our community. As a Research Director within the Women’s and Newborn Program of Monash Health, you will be able to drive research growth among our clinical staff.
