Job Description

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Human Resource Management in the Department of Management, College of Business and Economics (CBE). The CBE has been accredited by AACSB International since 2000. Candidates are expected to have: • A strong commitment to teaching excellence and the use of effective and innovative pedagogical approaches that emphasize practical application at both undergraduate and graduate levels; • The ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior, including core and advanced HRM/OB courses, and to contribute, where appropriate, to MBA and other graduate programs; • A strong research capability and the ability to develop and sustain a productive research program leading to publications in high-quality, well-regarded peer-reviewed journals; • The ability or potential to pursue appropriate internal and external research funding opportunities; and • A willingness to contribute actively to the development of the Department of Management, the College of Business and Economics, and UAEU through teaching, research, student advising, service, and external engagement. Candidates with research and teaching interests in areas such as strategic human resource management, talent management, performance and rewards, employee relations, HR analytics and artificial intelligence, international human resource management, and HRM in emerging markets are particularly encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualification

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, or closely related fields, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in Human Resource Management, the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and evidence of the ability to conduct high-quality academic research. For appointment at the Assistant Professor level, candidates should demonstrate strong research potential, an active research pipeline, and the potential to publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals. For appointments at the Associate or Full Professor level, candidates should have an established record of high-quality research and publications, along with demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and academic service.

Preferred Qualification

A strong publication record or research pipeline in Human Resource Management and related fields; research interests that complement the Department's existing strengths and emerging priorities; and relevant industry, consulting, executive education, or professional engagement.

Excpected Skills

Appointment will be made at the rank commensurate with the candidate's academic qualifications, research record, teaching experience, and scholarly accomplishments. Successful candidates are expected to maintain an active research program, publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, provide effective teaching and student advising, and contribute to service activities at the Department, College, University, professional, and community levels. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of both the theory and practice of Human Resource Management, along with an interest in producing rigorous and relevant research.
