Professorship (Scale 2) in Education for Enterprise, College of Medicine and Health

Specific Purpose Whole-time Post

(anticipated duration of 4 years)

UCC wishes to appoint an experienced academic to the role of Professor (Scale 2) in Education for Enterprise. In accordance with the University’s strategic objective as a research-led institution, the duties of all academic staff will include research, research-led teaching and contributions to the University, the discipline and the community. The academic staff member shall teach and examine, undertake administrative duties and carry out other duties appropriate to the post under the general direction of the Head of College of Medicine and Health.

The appointee who will be appointed to the College of Medicine and Health will manage day to day iEd Hub operations and coordinate UCC, MTU and Industry Partner activities. She/he will engage with enterprise stakeholders in both the public and private sectors, and UCC and MTU units, to design and develop the iEd Hub as an innovative educational platform. She/he will recruit and lead a multidisciplinary team to orchestrate, design, manage, and deliver new academic programmes. The appointee will also actively develop further opportunities in the space.

Appointment may be made on the Professor (Scale 2) Salary Scale: €102,040 - €119,379 (Scale B) / €97,070 - €113,544 (Scale A) Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
