The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of California, Irvine invites applicants for a project scientist in the Gorodetsky Group. The position requires a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Polymer Chemistry or related fields. There are multiple openings for applicants with expertise in cell biology, cellular engineering, and bioelectronics, broadly defined. Expertise with mammalian cell culture, specifically within the context of bioelectronic devices, is required for the position. The start date is negotiable. The initial appointments would be for one year, with the possibility of extension, depending on performance and completion of programmatic objectives and milestones.

Qualifications:
• The position requires a conferred PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Polymer Chemistry or related fields.
• Expertise with mammalian cell culture, specifically within the context of bioelectronic devices.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to work with a wide variety of lab members in a team environment.
