Research Assistant I/II (holding the functional title of Project Executive) in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 503090) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability) 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health or other related disciplines, preferably with a Master’s degree in one of the aforesaid disciplines and at least one year’s post-qualification work experience in elderly, gerontechnology, healthcare, or education setting. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; strong communication skills; and be able to multi-task and work independently and as a team. A basic knowledge of using statistical software such as SPSS or R, and User Acceptance Test (UAT) is desirable, but not mandatory.

The appointee will work in a research team to develop a digitalized platform for assisting older adults in transitional care. He/She will collaborate with various community partners to support, design, and conduct evaluation studies of transitional care. He/She will be responsible for literature review; coordination of data collection activities; data analysis; preparation of presentations, manuscripts and reports; liaison with elderly people, NGOs partners and collaborators; and performing other research-related duties as assigned by the investigators.
