Research Assistant I/II in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Science (Ref.: 500647) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Sociology, Social Policy, Statistics or related disciplines, preferably with at least one year’s post-qualification work experience in gerontology or related research projects. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; comprehensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis; and good knowledge of the local elderly service setting. Experience of fieldwork data collection from elder people and caregivers is an advantage. 

The appointee will be responsible for literature review; data collection and analysis; prepare presentations, manuscripts and reports; and perform other research-related duties as assigned by the investigators. Those with more research experience, supervisory experience and stronger academic background may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I.
