The VitD-UFs Study at the University of Botswana is looking for an experienced Research Assistant with a keen interest in women’s health research to join our team.

Project Title: Investigation of Vitamin D Deficiency among Women with Uterine Fibroids in Botswana (VitD-UFs)

Duties

The successful candidate is expected to:

  • (i) Carry out participant recruitment and follow-up

  • (ii) Carry out data collection and support data management

  • (iii) Perform blood draws and transport them to the lab for analysis

  • (iv) Offer administrative support to the research coordinator

  • (v) Assist with other duties as assigned

Requirements

The applicant should have:

  • (i) Degree in Biomedical Sciences field

  • (ii) Certification in phlebotomy/blood draws (optional if degree is in a clinical health profession)

  • (iii) A minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience

Added Advantage:

  • Formal training in research and experience conducting research related to health services

Remuneration

The research study offers a remuneration package in accordance with University of Botswana regulations.
