Work­ing field:

As part of the DFG pro­ject „Super­pos­ing particle inter­ac­tions and hydra­tion effects on the rhe­ology of cemen­ti­tious sys­tems in the pres­ence of dif­fer­ent ions in the aqueous phase“ within the DFG pri­or­ity pro­gram 2005 "Opus Flu­idum Futurum - Rhe­ology of react­ive, multi-scale, multi-phase build­ing mater­ial sys­tems", work on the plan­ning, imple­ment­a­tion and eval­u­ation of extens­ive invest­ig­a­tions in the area of the rhe­olo­gical prop­er­ties of inor­ganic bind­ers and mor­tars is to be car­ried out. The work is inter­dis­cip­lin­ary and con­cerns, on the one hand, invest­ig­a­tions of build­ing mater­ial and, on the other hand, invest­ig­a­tions of the chem­ical-min­er­alo­gical inter­ac­tions of cemen­ti­tious bind­ers, espe­cially when using con­struc­tion chem­ical addit­ives. The res­ults are to be sci­en­tific­ally eval­u­ated and pub­lished in reports and pub­lic­a­tions.

Require­ments:

Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in mater­i­als sci­ence, civil engin­eer­ing with a focus on build­ing mater­i­als sci­ence or related dis­cip­lines; In-depth know­ledge in the field of build­ing mater­i­als and build­ing chem­ical addit­ives is a pre­requis­ite; Exper­i­ence in the area of hydra­tion of inor­ganic bind­ers, the inter­ac­tion of con­struc­tion chem­ical addit­ives and the rhe­ology of build­ing mater­i­als are advant­age­ous; good know­ledge of Ger­man and / or Eng­lish; high motiv­a­tion and abil­ity to work inde­pend­ently in aca­demic research; Exper­i­ence in writ­ing sci­entific pub­lic­a­tions should be avail­able.
