Research Assistant II (several posts) in the Department of Clinical Oncology (Ref.: 503273) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably in Biomedical Science, Statistics or related disciplines.  Experience and/or interest in project coordination and clinical research would be preferred.  Applicants should have a strong sense of responsibility; good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English; and the ability to work independently, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and with external parties. 

The appointees will be deployed to various cancer centers of the Hospital Authority to execute one of the largest clinical genomic projects in Hong Kong.  Duties will include: assist clinicians to screen and recruit cancer patients for next-generation sequencing genomic test; prospectively follow-up cancer patients for treatment outcomes; handle daily logistics of genomic test ordering; data quality check and monitoring; and perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Training on the use of clinical information system will be provided.
