An exciting new opportunity has arisen in the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis to join an inter-disciplinary project exploring strategies for malaria eradication.
The project, funded by The Wellcome Trust, aims i) to determine optimal resource allocation strategies to achieve malaria eradication; ii) to explore the trade-off between country priorities and regional and global strategies; and iii) to understand how the success of strategies are influenced by the wider political economy.
The Medical Research Council (MRC) Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis is an international resource and centre of excellence for research and capacity building on the epidemiological analysis and modelling of infectious diseases. The Centre works closely with national and international agencies to support policy planning and response operations against infectious disease threats.

The College believes that the use of animals in research is vital to improve human and animal health and welfare. Animals may only be used in research programmes where their use is shown to be necessary for developing new treatments and making medical advances. Imperial is committed to ensuring that, in cases where this research is deemed essential, all animals in the College’s care are treated with full respect, and that all staff involved with this work show due consideration at every level.
