Part-time Research Assistant II in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 503113) (to commence as soon as possible for six months with the possibility of renewal)  

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Neuroscience, Psychology or a related discipline. They should be passionate about developing cutting-edge technology and tools for helping young children with developmental dyslexia and/or autism. They should be a Cantonese-English bilingual speaker and a skillful user of MatLab, Python, or R packages, able to conduct neuroscience research such as the use of EEG. They should also have a knack for accuracy and attention to detail; excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; the ability to work independently and as part of a team; and the ability to prioritize and work under pressure. 

The appointee will work on a research project on developing an intelligent diagnostic and intervention system for improving the well-being of young children, as a member of an interdisciplinary research team. He/She will be responsible for computer-program development, designing and conducting both behavioral and neuroscience experiments, and project management. He/She will also assist in training undergraduate research volunteers and perform other administrative duties at the Speech, Language and Reading Lab in the Unit of Human Communication, Development, and Information Sciences.
