Research Assistant II (Ref.: 509176) (to commence as soon as possible for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal)   

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline. They should be passionate about using cutting-edge research methods and technology to unravel the mechanisms of reading and social communication difficulties of children with special educational needs. They should be a Cantonese-English bilingual speaker and a skillful user of R packages and/or Python and know how to conduct EEG research. They should also have a knack for accuracy and attention to details; excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; the ability to work independently and as part of a team; and the ability to prioritize and work under pressure. Applicants who know Hong Kong Sign Language with knowledge about the d/Deaf communities will be preferred. 

The appointee will be responsible for designing and conducting both behavioural and neuroscience experiments, and handling project management. He/She will also assist in training undergraduate research volunteers and perform other administrative duties at the Speech, Language and Reading Lab in the Unit of Human Communication, Development, and Information Sciences.
