About the Role

The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London is seeking to appoint a part-time Research Assistant to work in the EU-funded research project AgriDataValue with core consortia of key academic and industrial players from different EU countries. The successful applicant will work for the Multimedia and Vision Group (MMV).

About You

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate experience working with large cooperative EU funded projects. Demonstrable knowledge of Machine Learning technology and its applications in multimedia data analysis is essential, as well as significant research experience in computer vision or multimedia signal processing. Candidates should also have a good track-record in deep learning and applications for the analysis of large image databases.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a part time (17.5 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 24 months, and is available from April 2023. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £34,619 - £36,411 per annum (pro rata), inclusive of London Allowance.  This post may be extended subject to further funding approval.
