The ERC-funded project ‘PACT: Populism and Conspiracy Theory’ is hiring a

research assistant (m/f/d)

to a PhD researcher of the project.

The successful candidate will assist the PhD researcher with the subproject on Austria. A near-native speaking and writing level in German and English is required for the position. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills and a hands-on attitude. An interest in, and familiarity with, social media platforms would be an advantage. Both undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Tübingen are invited to apply.

The initial contract will run for 6 months, after which the period may be extended. The research assistant will be employed for 30 hours per month, starting in December 2020.

Tasks include:

  • searching for relevant primary and secondary sources;
  • summarizing press articles and reports;
  • closely monitoring social media activities;
  • assist in the organization of academic events, such as research seminars.
