Research Assistant I/II (holding the functional title of Multimedia Development Assistant) in the Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (Ref.: 500458), (to commence on September 1, 2020 or as soon as possible for one year, with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Communication/Media Studies or related field.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; skills in journalistic content production, infographics and social media; ability to work independently with high standards of professionalism and organizational skills. Applicants with an interest in international issues, especially the cultural, religious and geopolitical aspects of the Belt and Road Initiative, are welcome to apply.  Those with less experience may be appointed as Research Assistant II. 

The appointee will work on digital media content research, production and management for the project entitled “Infrastructures of Faith: Religious Mobilities on the Belt and Road”, under the supervision of Professor David A.
