Research Assistant in Immunometabolism

Research Assistant I/II in Immunometabolism in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (Ref.: 518687) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, with solid hands-on experience in molecular biology and animal work.  They should have a strong sense of responsibility, good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

The appointee will participate in research projects related to the elucidation of protective actions of exercise-derived factors on metabolic outcomes.  5.5 working days per week is required.  Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. C. Diaz Canestro at cdiaz@hku.hk.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
