Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I in the Department of Law (Ref.: 509259) (to commence on February 14, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal) 

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in law or the social sciences with a demonstrable interest in FinTech, financial inclusion, human rights, sustainable development, demonstrated ability to carry out independent research, including qualitative and empirical research.  They should demonstrate capacity to work effectively as part of a team; an ability to work with external stakeholders; have excellent oral and especially written communication skills; an ability to maintain a sound governance framework for research activities; and ensure appropriate ethics approval, reporting and documentation of research outcomes, desirable, but not required. 

The appointee will work on a project entitled The Role of International Human Rights Law at the Intersection of FinTech, Financial Inclusion, and Sustainable Development to assist the Principal Investigator in overseeing the implementation of the project.  He/She will be responsible for literature review; collecting quantitative and qualitative data to conduct data analysis; assisting in drafting research reports and academic papers; coordinating with internal and external parties to organize dissemination activities of the project; and performing other duties as assigned.
