Research Assistant I/II in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 503718)(to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Contemporary Marketing Centre at HKU Business School (Faculty of Business and Economics) seeks one Research Assistant to work on research projects related to digital marketing, big data marketing and social media marketing.  Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above majoring in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Natural Science and related fields. Intention to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Marketing/Economics or similar fields in the future would be an advantage. They should have a strong quantitative background with strong computer skills including programming in Python, SQL, R and/or Stata. Experience in working with big datasets and machine learning models are highly valued.

The appointee will be responsible for collecting data, cleaning data, maintaining databases, conducting statistical analysis; and provide other support associated with the faculties.  Enquiries about the post should be sent to Dr. Tuan Phan at tphan@hku.hk.
